[info]calamityjon called for a meme where we photograph our art supplies. I kinda thought I was pretty self-contained with just a few pens before I made this mess:

Oh wow...I thot I was one of the few with a Microman for a marilla!

Dude!

I've two males, one average and the other with a larger build, and three females that vary from small to large. I also use the Art S. Buck male model now and then.

Heh, that's just cool. :)

AHAH! I picked one up on a whim at the San Diego comic con. He's more of a studio guardian than model, really. He will sometimes steal some face-time infront of the web cam when I'm drawing.

I like these little guys...I tend to draw by shapes and the shapes of the little guy helps me put things together at times.

Yeah, I think proportions are my greatest weakness - I should use 'em more often!

A real good book for proportions and such is Stephen Peck's Atlas of the Human Anatomy for the Artist. There's a section in there that's really good on proportions.

Hey, i love the idea of using those action figures as figure models, but where can they be found stateside? All the ones I can find online are at ebay for $20 a pop, roughly.

Man. I used to love my erasing shield! I don't really use it at all anymore, but when I was doing design and drafting in school, that thing was my best friend.

Drafing and architecture was where I learned to use those, as well. I still find em useful when drawing pages full of tight panels, and I have to erase the occasional blunder without killing the rest of the art.

I found this on the Micromen: http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/microman/

I think the whole site is in Japanese...but hopefully a place to buy them or a direction of where to find them stateside.

Yes, I found this page yesterday, but there doesn't appear to be any way to order them.

Man, I wish I could read japanese...
